Management and Accounting

The Management and Accounting Library serves the teaching and research needs of the students, faculty, and staff. Previously and before the establishment of the Management and Accounting, the library resource of the Informatics and Management Faculty was serving our entire community in the subject areas of general business, accounting, finance, management, marketing, and organizational behavior. 240 management tittles and 350 accounting titles were transferred from the old Informatics and Management Faculty and Economics Faculty respectively when the Management and Accounting Faculty was established by the name of Administrative Sciences Faculty in 1991.

The Management and Accounting Library serves the research needs of the students, faculty members, and staff of the Shahid Beheshti University. The library, located on the south half floor below the first floor of the building and contains around 13660 bounded volumes (3000 in process of cataloging), subscribes to about 33 English and 110 Farsi periodicals and newspapers, 271 thesis and dissertations and currently licenses a number of electronic databases for the use of the faculty community. Books and periodical titles of the library are listed both electronically and traditional card catalogs. Links to online versions of other periodicals, as well as other electronic journals, can also be found.

For individual study, a number of lighted study carrels can be found within the library, some with plug-in access to the building’s computer network. There is a glass room with several carrels that can be used as group study areas as well.

Additionally, students can brows the books personally with ahead-of-time appointment in the closed-off-shelves area.

The library is currently open every day during the normal term hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
